A “business breakfast” – Gran Caffè Gambrinus
The Gambrinus is the most critical Café in Naples and the right place for a business breakfast. Charming as all historical cafes are, it is located next to Piazza Plebiscito and Via Chiaia, in front of the San Carlo theater. It is a landmark among our city’s most important cultural landmarks and a meeting place par excellence of Naples bene.
An hour alone in a beautiful place – Intra Moenia Literary Café
The Intra Moenia Literary Café is a refined and cozy place located in one of the most charming little squares in the historic center, with its artistic-literary atmosphere and its large attendance even midweek. Surrounded by greenery, it is delightful. I often come here to take a break where I can relax away from the hustle and bustle.
A lunch with a formal client – Caruso
Caruso Restaurant is on the ninth floor of the Grand Hotel Vesuvio, called by the tenor – after whom it is named – “his Neapolitan home.” Located on the Naples waterfront, it offers a splendid view of the Gulf beyond where you can enjoy the Chef’s delicacies. It has an opinion “che se fermano e’ ‘rilogi” (they stop the clocks), which describes in the Neapolitan way the excitement one feels when coming there.
A “relaxing” lunch – Trattoria da Cicciotto
Trattoria da Cicciotto is located just at the end of those characteristic steps leading up to the last stretch of the legendary Marechiaro seaside descent. One is enchanted and intoxicated by the sea breeze and the flavor of what the Chef proposes. I take refuge here when I want to relax and stay away from the hectic pace of work life.
A trendy aperitif – Ba-bar
Ba-bar is one of the most charming little bars on Via Chiaia. Located on Via Bisignano, it is a very cozy place that is a mixture of home, bistro, cultural meeting place, and friends’ hangout. It is a different hangout from the canonical ones, which I recommend to have a well-made aperitif and to spend a pleasant evening, even in the company of a client.
A place for informal gatherings – Al Barcadero Café
Al Barcadero Café is ideal for those who do not want to move from the city without giving up the pleasure of tranquility and peace. In the shadow of the Castel dell’Ovo, this cozy and comfortable little corner of paradise allows you to eat in peace, away from prying eyes and the hustle and bustle of the weekend.
A dinner to intrigue – La casa di Ninetta
La casa di Ninetta is a place with an atmosphere of yesteryear that takes you back in time. It is a traditional yet classy restaurant, where the lived-in and warm-looking decor tells the story of Neapolitan tradition. Here you can taste authentic conventional Neapolitan cuisine, homemade by grandma in terracotta pots.
A gourmet dinner – Terrazza Calabritto
The restaurant is on two levels: on the zero floor of No. 1 Piazza Vittoria, there is a Cocktail Bar where you can also entertain after dinner, while on the second floor, there is on one side the indoor restaurant and then the indoor terrace. It is a refined and elegant venue, the perfect setting for the exclusive offerings of the kitchen, whose dishes are delicate and of great variety.
The latest trendy “place” – 3Piani
In the elegant via Filangeri, the 3piani restaurant expresses its international nature, designed in the style of trendy European places. In the person of the egregious Chef, it combines high-level cuisine in an elegant setting where you can spend a few hours pleasantly. It consists of 3 levels allowing three different experiences: raw-cocktail bar, restaurant, and terrace.
The “place to be and be seen” – La Caffettiera
Gran Caffè La Caffettiera is located in the beautiful Piazza dei Martiri, the excellent living room of Neapolitan hospitality, where it is possible to taste high-quality goodness. La Caffettiera is a place frequented by entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, journalists, and all the beautiful people of Naples or those who want to be seen.
