Alfredo Paramico

Founder, A. Watches LLC

“You can never sail across the Ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore (Cristoforo Colombo)

Neapolitan by birth and university education, Mr Paramico left Naples at age 23 to attend a Master’s degree in Econometrics at Bocconi. He then moved to London in 1994 to Bankers Trust, a leading investment bank in the derivatives market.

His specialization in the derivatives market (equity and fixed income) then led him to take on increasingly integral positions at Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette (later acquired by Credit Suisse), Caboto (investment bank of the Intesa group), and Dresdner Bank. A position at Bbva, Milan office led him to direct the Capital Markets activities for two years for Italy.

Always a great fan of watches, Mr Paramico began collecting them as a boy, searching through flea markets for a few timepieces consistent with his minimal resources. After concluding his experience in finance, he devoted himself to creating the first investment fund dedicated to collectible watches and approved by Luxembourg’s regulatory bodies. Over the years, Mr Paramico collected some of the most important watches in the history of watchmaking with a particular emphasis on the Patek Philippe watches from the 1930s to the 1950s, characterized by a “white” colored case, thus in steel, white gold, and platinum. Of particular note is the famous holy grail Patek Philippe 1518 in steel.

Since 2014, Mr Paramico has moved to Miami, where he works full-time researching the finest watches for discerning clients, serving as an advisor and dealer through a company he created and directed, A. Watches Llc, regulated by the Florida Chamber of Commerce. His know-how and experience have propelled him to an international clientele from all continents.

His passions are fitness (he practices CrossFit daily) and the sea (mandatory stop in Miami after Naples). Madly in love with Milan (is there a better place to live?), he is always happy to walk the streets of New York and sail the Bay of Naples.
