An engineer, class of ’50 with master’s degrees from Insead in Fontainebleau and City University of London, Mr Vignola has headed several multinational companies-Data General, Montedison, France Telecom, British Telecom, Global Tele System, Domestic & General.
He has more recently devoted himself to M&A in the automotive sector. But his passion for Classic Cars had not left him since 1975, when he began collecting sports cars from the 1940s and 1950s, restoring them for use on the road and track. His current cars from the period are the most desirable historical ones: 911 turbo, Audi Quattro, and Delta Integrale, among others.
Mr Vignola has participated in European reenactment events combining professional travel with his passion, such as 1000Miglia, Pebble Beach, Goodwood Revival, London-Brighton, and Ennstal Classic.
Since 1981 he has published dozens of articles in Ruoteclassiche, Classic & Sportscar, La Manovella, and Automobilismo d’Epoca.
Since 1983 he has been a member of Asi-Fiva, of which he has been a counselor. Today he is vice president of the Fiva Technical Commission (Fédération internationale des véhicules anciens) and a member of the management committee of the 1000Miglia and the jury of the Chantilly Concours d’Elegance.
In 2012, Mr Vignola created Ademy (Automotive Data Evaluation Market Yield), an independent international B2B services company dedicated to insurance companies, private bankers, auction houses, collectors, museums, and event organizers to accurately determine the value of collector vehicles based on their originality, rarity, liquidity and market trends for insurance purposes, succession or as investment opportunities.
